Back on the Jackdaw: the Black Flag remake, revealed in one dive.

Brief

Third film with Ubisoft. For the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the brief was to reignite what fans love about the original — the Caribbean, the ship, Edward Kenway.

Approach

The zoom sails through the Golden Age of Piracy: naval battles, hidden coves, Havana and Nassau, each scene hand-drawn and packed with details fans will recognise.

Result

Nostalgia for the original, excitement for the remake — one continuous shot for the announcement.
